The Relaxed and Rejoycing Spirit's Song, journal poem 4-10-09

This day is amazing.
It feels about 78 degrees. And each degree lay happily above the next. The sun and clouds are balance with one another. Green is all around me. The breeze is dancing nicely to the tune of us all around here. I embellish every breath or two. I am going on an adventure tomorrow and I feel it today, I thinks it will be a nice one! A beautiful time of times. Then when I return from my travels, my husband, daughter, dog and I will all be together once more and again. Smiles on face. Smiles in heart. Smiles in belly. Peace in my root. Legs feel light. Legs feel strong. My back feels easy. My energy has returned. Body is in balance. I see sparkling shades of gemstone emerald and peridot in the puzzle of sweet trees. This back porch view looks like a shiny storybook 2-page spread. And my heart reaches out big to it all. These arms, like rays, beam far to harness this joy and scoop it to take and serve me in my future. I open the wrinkles in my face and close my eye lids lightly. While I gaze inward, my throat opens. I shed those jagged layers of complexity that shut me up and bricked me in. No more metal gate. I am open to the elements now and gratitude,
in all things,
guides me from now on.

Reiki, Love and Strength

Hey all you beautiful human beings! So I am inspired to mention three things today: share information about a good friend's new Reiki web site, give out some gratitude for those who have helped a struggling Army wife and also give a virtual high five to the stay at home Moms out there.

First, there is a new group/business and web site coming to the Savannah area involving Reiki. So for all you practitioners or folks who want to know more about Reiki and what the heck it is...keep an eye on my blog. The web site and business, started by Jessica Hedrick, graphic artist and Reiki practitioner, is under construction currently and I am now building interest because I saw a sneak peak at the site today and it is so inspiring and enlightening! TRULY. As soon as I have the heads up I will post the link. PLEASE check back and check it out, it is fantastic and she has begun changing the world already!!! Yay.

And second, GRATITUDE mmmmmmmmmm. Juicy yummyness. I am so grateful right now and I have to express it. I recently had a very minor surgery but surgery nonetheless and the girl I mentioned above, Jessica, she babysat for me. Big deal right? Well in less than 24 hours she drove from Savannah to Augusta and back, so it was a big deal...five hours on the road big. Thank you for the support, Jess. Also gotta thank the hubby again! He is fighting for our country while it is at war, politically divided and the economy is failing big time. We are good, we are stable and thriving and it is all thanks to Chad for working in this way. Much gratitude and my love is sent to all of those who are struggling and trying to figure out their situation in this financial crisis we are in. I believe this is an amazing reflection time for all of us to take a minute and realize what is REALLY valuable and how we are fighting for peace. No it is not your blackberry, or BMW that are our most valuable possessions! :) It is our friends and loved ones who support us and work for and support us in millions of ways.

THIRD, props to all ye housewives and stay at home Moms around the world!!! Did anyone see Oprah today? Oh my eyes started majorly leaking and I I felt doubled over in happiness because they addressed the nobility of the stay at home Mom. Lets face it, I bet almost 100% of women who stay home feel guilty about not bringing in more bacon. I recently quit my at-home work/career I worked so hard at building. I felt helpless, guilty and sad. I love, love, love being home with my baby but the guilt was very real. Well on the show today, a struggling woman who lost her 6 figure job was forced to do housework and raise her 3 year old for the first time at home, 24-7. She acted defeated about it. And the wonderful psychologist/therapist Rabbi Gary Neuman was on the show and he quickly corrected her. He told this mother that it was a VERY noble and hard job to do what she does and she should savor this time.

He said this simple, yet profound statement, "Good Mothers are highly intelligent people."

This made me cry. It gave me the strength I needed to get through another day. Now I sound like a Hallmark card so I am gonna close out this post. But............

BE WELL ALL!

Send someone some gratitude today :)

Love, Bec
